Color Changing Rhododendron

I do not know the name of this particular rhododendron. I was looking for a sun tolerant variety that would stay small. While the first one they recommended, a red variety, would compete with the lovely pastels of the Japanese maples, I thought this pink to white one might work.

By the time the Lily of the Valley is seducing bees with its scented white bells, this one has completed a remarkable progression from deep pink buds to white with pink dots. The first photo shows the colorful midpoint. The others show the 12-day progression from start to finish.
